This Colorado River Vacation takes some explaining...
Stephen & I arrived in Laughlin early as we flew by plane. Daughters, Jennifer and Melissa, Grandson Austin and #3 Daughter, Jenna arrived at 1:00 AM in the vehicle pulling the SeaDoo. When we arrived in Laughlin, Stephen and I collected the keys to the kid's room. We "Short-Sheeted" their beds and ... (Bad Parents!...We're not going into any more detail!!!) |

| 1999 Kern River Trip | |
| Our original plans for this day were to take our daughter, Jennifer for her first "small craft" plane ride to San Diego for lunch. During lunch, Stephen adds to the plan...as soon as we returned to John Wayne Airport, I drove home to pack an overnight bag and Stephen prepped the plane for a flight to the Kern River! | |

By 5:30 PM, Stephen and I are sipping Merlot outside our cabin! |

We enjoyed dinner that evening at a little country restaurant across the street |
After dinner, we were invited to join our cabin neighbors for drinks and sharing stories! |

Our house-boat trip with daughter Christa was quite the adventure! Three people that were going to join us canceled, therefore we had three people on a boat that had the capacity to sleep 12 people! As you can tell by the photos above, we had a "small" desert storm...lightening and all! |

After the storm we took in four days of intense heat with a failing air-conditioner...I guess we're just not real good at roughing it anymore! We returned the boat and Stephen drove us to Laughlin where we stayed in a two bed-room suite on the top floor of the Edgewater Hotel. We all relaxed and watched movies all night! |
